- PLAYBOY: [On Second City] Where you worked with Gilda Radner for the first time.
- AYKROYD: Yeah. Gilda was already breaking hearts left and right. All the guys loved her. You know how Bill Murray would pick her up and twirl her around his head? I felt that way about Gilda.
- PLAYBOY: Huh?
- AYKROYD: I would express it differently, but I understood it when Billy would pick her up and twirl her around and begin biting her.
- PLAYBOY: Did you remain friends with her after SNL?
- AYKROYD: We all kind of lost touch with Gilda. She married Gene Wilder and built a life with him. Our paths didn't intersect for many years, until I saw her at a party at Laraine Newman's house one year before she died. Everyone there was around her like filings around a magnet. But we had a lot of years together at Second City and then on Saturday Night.

You really think so? It’s nuts, right? I agree with Ashlee, I really think she visits us from time to time. Have you ever had any notable Gilda dreams?
What if Chevy Chase leaves Community at the end of this season, NBC then picks up the show for a 4th season and his replacement is Bill Murray? LOL

I honestly feel like she visits us. Her little whatevers, whatever we are. It’s insane.

I totally agree. It’s bonkers. I really don’t think I’m capable of saying something like that, even if in my subconscious. And definitely not out of the blue like that. I know it sounds crazy but…I don’t know. So weird. I’m glad you think she does, too.
Her little whatevers…I like that a lot :)

I had another Gilda dream awhile back and I like to have ‘em on here so I can keep track of them :) So…yeah. Without further ado…
I just finished it and feel like I need to ramble about it with someone.
That book is amazing and beautiful and I’ve read it three times.
Ramble away! <3
Hi!! So. I thought it was amazing. It was like one of his movies - at times I teetered on being lost but that just added to the overall awesomeness. Also, although he said it’s Karen that influences his love stories in the dedications, RIGHT near the end Annie says, “I’d love to live on a farm someday” - or something like that. That was always Gilda’s dream…and I love that that little slip happened. I twas probably unintentional, too. It’s such a beautiful and moving book. I can’t wait to read it again. I also can’t wait to read The Woman Who Wouldn’t and his book of short loves stories! <3 OH and at the end I skipped over the line accidentally that let you know what is happening, so when it was over I’m like “:O What happened to him??????? Why didn’t he find Annie again?” But then I went back and figured it out LOL XD

My friend and I are meeting her on Monday at a book signing. We want to get as many notes as possible and print it out to show her how much we want her to host. So please reblog to your support!! (:

I have to tell everybody, that if you go on the classmates.com website, you can find Gilda’s 1964 yearbook! Go to “All Yearbooks” in the dropdown box, then type in “Gilda Radner.” It’s University Liggett School 1964. She’s in quite a few pics! There’s a baby picture in there too. :)
(**Fair warning: you have to sign up for the website. It’s free and quick, but also a little creepy. IDK.)
imagine if i was famous and you would all be like “i followed her once”

All the guys I’ve ever had crushes on have been at least 10 years older than me.
