i never really ever questioned the mockumentary format more than once or twice…i always just kind of accepted it. Like, yeah, they’re being filmed, but i never really extensively wondered why. but since the office gave us actual reason for their filming, it got me thinking about Parks and Rec. what if they’re connected? parks is probably like a second installment in this documentary crew’s series on the american workplace or something.

Parks and Recreation + TV Tropes | Precision F-Strike

“Let’s face it: people swear. However, some movies/shows have a tendency to overdo it. Sometimes it can be pulled off, and sometimes it just sounds stupid. The Precision F Strike is the opposite of this. Put simply, it’s where swearing has been used effectively to add weight to the sentence. The most common way of doing this is when a normally non-swearing character swears, meaning that things have just gotten really fucking serious.”
